Our executive team all work for the Bristol Pound CIC on a day to day basis.
Director, Chief Executive Officer
Ciaran Mundy is currently a Director at Transition Bristol Ltd. and previously a successful business entrepreneur in the telecoms and property sectors. He trained and worked as a research scientist in soil ecology and was a founding director of One World Wildlife which supports conservation, campaigning, education and research projects in the UK and overseas winning the 2010 Vincent Weir Scientific Award. Ciaran’s combination of interests led him to study economics with a focus on the role of money and banking in determining the type of economy we live in. He wants his current work to support the development of a fair, diverse, sustainable economy through more widespread involvement and local ownership.
Director, Chief Technical Officer
Graham is responsible for overseeing all the technical aspects of the Bristol Pound. He founded and now co-ordinates the Guild of Independent Currencies, and leads on all the Town Pound work we do as well as being a director of the Real Economy Co-operative. He has 18 years experience developing technology solutions, specialising in integrations between systems, initially involved in innovative digital signature company PenOp before going on to start up successful web technology business which was subsequently sold. He also co-founded the Bristol Drawing School and was director there for four years, he is a fellow of the RSA and a patron of the RWA.
Director, Chief Finance Officer
As Chief Finance Officer Steve is responsible for overseeing the finances of Bristol Pound CIC. He is also on the core team for delivering the Bristol Prospects project. A Bristolian, Steve was a practicing solicitor for 12 years and partner at a major commercial law firm. He is a Director of Bristol Green Week, a member of the Green Capital Momentum Group, and is involved in a number of other not-for-profit and social enterprises including Refuge Nepal where he is founder and chairman
